Built from the Inside Out

Pathways to Services Development was founded by James Gonzales to address the structural failures he navigated firsthand. His leadership is forged from lived experience with incarceration, addiction, and homelessness. This organization exists to fill the gap between a person's decision to change and the infrastructure required to sustain it.

As a California 501(c)(3) in its build phase, we are currently focused on establishing the governance and partnerships necessary for our upcoming pilot programs. We operate on values of accountability, structure, and dignity—the same standards we ask of the people we serve.

Built from the Inside Out

Pathways to Services Development is building the infrastructure for transformation. We address the gap between crisis response and long-term stability.

Bridging the Transition Gap

Most systems focus on the immediate crisis. Pathways provides the structured follow-through required after an individual commits to change. We build the physical and peer-led frameworks needed for reintegration, accountability, and permanent stability.

Grounded in Accountability

Our leadership is rooted in lived experience. We lead through the lens of recovery, reentry, and resilience. We value structure not as a barrier, but as a scaffold for dignity. We speak the language of accountability because it is the only way to ensure real, lasting outcomes.

501(c)(3) California Nonprofit

Pathways to Services Development is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We operate under formal board oversight and rigorous bylaws, building our organization with the same commitment to transparency and discipline that we expect from our future participants.
